You can configure all the shutdown setting through the web Agent. Well my PC has been formatted recently, so I do have a clean Windows 10 x64 install. That said I would like to have the programm up and running. Let me understand one thing. The Console and the Server are the software part with the user interface? That said, I'm tryng to use the Console, the program starts and correctl finds the UPS as you can see in the image below:.
Anyway I hope that you will updated this software sooner or later because it seems kind of old to me. The agent is the complete software for configuring the UPS, monitoring it, and safely shutting down the attached computer. So it's both a user interface and a driver. The server and console are for if you have multiple UPSes, each attached to different computers, each computer running the agent.

I couldn't find any info on when it was designed, but it got UL certification near the end of , still well before Windows Before using it with this machine, I used to get notifications and a power indicator icon on the task bar without vendor software, just stock Windows 7.
Usually Microsoft is really good about backward compatibility, and since their driver dates back to , I'm still rather surprised why this functionality was lost. The Windows 10 native power management is fine for shutting down the PC. All I'm looking for is desktop notifications.
Per the abysmal reviews, FAQ, and Known Issues list: the PowerChute software requires disabling native power management, runs the user-mode component as admin, doesn't uninstall cleanly, and may have an expired authenticode signature. Apparently the version was only recently posted, as the latest I saw was when I replaced my batteries a few weeks ago. I would prefer a solution that relies on native power management.
